Business Development Manager - About the Role:
As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying and securing new catering contracts, nurturing relationships with prospective clients, and expanding the company’s presence across the Midlands. You’ll manage the full sales cycle - from lead generation and tender writing to presentations and contract award.
This is a varied and rewarding position that combines strategy, sales, marketing, and relationship management, all aligned with the company’s values of quality, food innovation, and sustainability.

Drive new business growth by identifying, targeting, and winning new catering contracts across education and commercial sectors.
Lead the tender process – writing compelling proposals, managing submissions, and presenting to prospective clients.
Build strong, lasting relationships with stakeholders across schools, trusts, and businesses.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure tenders reflect the company’s brand, operational capability, and commitment to excellence.
Represent the business with professionalism and passion at client meetings, presentations, and industry events.

Proven track record in business development or sales within contract catering. (Education / B&I)
Strong tender writing and presentation skills – you’ll be provided with templates but must be confident producing and presenting detailed proposals.
Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working across a large Midlands territory.
A passion for food, service, and creating value for clients.
This is an exciting role for someone who’s hungry for success, confident in both sales and tender activity, and passionate about contract catering. You’ll have the freedom to grow your patch, the support of a strong internal team, and the potential to earn significant uncapped commission.
